Monstera Adansonii Variegata
€19,95
Monstera adansonii ‘Variegata’ is a highly sought-after and decorative form of Monstera adansonii, native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America. In its natural habitat, it grows as a climbing plant in warm, humid environments, using trees for support while developing its characteristic fenestrated leaves.
The name “adansonii” refers to the species, known for its iconic “Swiss cheese” holes, while “Variegata” highlights the striking white and green patterns that make each leaf unique. This variegation is unstable and relatively rare, which is why the plant became so desirable among collectors.
Not long ago, this plant was considered a true collector’s item, with extreme prices being paid for well-variegated specimens. In some cases, individual plants sold for thousands and even up to tens of thousands of Euro’s during the peak of the rare plant hype.
Today, thanks to increased availability and large-scale propagation, the price has dropped significantly. You can now find Monstera adansonii ‘Variegata’ here for €19,95, making it far more accessible to a wider group of plant lovers.
Unfortunately, we do not currently have a fully mature specimen available. We do have plants that are steadily maturing, and we’re excited to show you their development soon. They just need a bit more time to reach their full potential.
For optimal growth and to encourage larger, more fenestrated leaves, place your Monstera adansonii ‘Variegata’ on a moss pole.
Happy growing! 🌿
