Monstera Subpinnata
€19,95
Monstera Subpinnata is a rare and highly distinctive climbing aroid admired for its extraordinary leaf shape. Unlike most Monstera species, this plant develops deeply divided leaves that resemble palm fronds, giving it a unique, architectural appearance that stands out in any plant collection.
As the plant matures and climbs, the leaves transform dramatically. Young plants start with simpler foliage, but with proper support and maturity, the leaves develop long, narrow segments arranged along the central vein, creating the characteristic pinnate (feather-like) structure that makes this species so special.
Native to tropical regions of Central and South America, Monstera Subpinnata grows naturally as a climber in rainforest environments. When grown indoors, it benefits greatly from a moss pole, plank, or trellis, which encourages larger leaves and more pronounced segmentation.
Despite its exotic look, Monstera Subpinnata is relatively manageable to grow. It thrives in bright, indirect light, enjoys well-draining soil, and prefers moderate watering once the top layer of soil dries. Providing higher humidity and climbing support will help the plant reach its full ornamental potential.
